The hotel is definitely 5-star quality - the only reason it has only 4 stars is that the front desk isn't open 24 hrs, not a problem for guests because there is keypad access after hours. The location is perfect for sightseeing on foot in the old town. The hotel is small, only 10 rooms, and is beautifully designed. Our room was spacious and quiet, with a very comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning that kept us cool even though the weather outside was hot. The bathroom was lavish, very fresh, and the shower was great. Breakfast was continental, with homemade yogurt and good croissants but no cooked food. We ate dinner twice at the hotel and recommend it highly The local Gaillac wines were very good and the menu had both regional and international specialties. All our food was delicious. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We were lucky for Nicholaas to cook one night and the food wine and conversation was memorable. We have recommended La Maison to friends within the south west and abroad.

Located in the centre of Albi, this bed and breakfast is located 50 metres from Toulouse Cathedral. Some rooms have panoramic views of Albi Cathedral and city centre. A wonderful old building right next to the cathedral. Fabulous decor and a beautiful breakfast table. Made very welcome.
