The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning.

Each stylish room has fresh light décor. Breakfast is amazing, with a-la-carte eggs, and buffet with yogurt parfaits, breads, and other snacks. Beautiful dining room. On-site parking is an authentic local experience, but much appreciated. Staff were really wonderful and helpful. After-hours check in was flawless.

Built as a private house in 1914, the hotel has hosted King George V and other members of the royal family. Many of the rooms and public areas retain elements of Edwardian luxury, including high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Guests can enjoy an award-winning menu at the Rosette accredited Oscar's restaurant. The room was warm and welcoming. We booked 50 minutes earlier, the receptionist said, The room is ready now. Beautiful grounds to walk around. Felt like one of the elites staying there to be honest. The breakfast was really good and plenty of choice as we sat in this amazing place for our breakfast. Staff are all lovely people. The cleaners were friendly and smiley. Really impressed by the whole experience will visit again.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels.

Boat trips on Lake Windermere, which is just 1 mile away, offer uninterrupted views of the stunning mountains, bays and woodlands. The room is beautiful and the bed is wide and super comfortable. I checked in quite late, and sent the message earlier so the landlord kindly manage to sent the instruction on how to find my room key which I found it very helpful. The room amenities also quite generous with tea and coffee collections and chocolate drinks. Thanks a lot 👍🏽

The hotel has some of the best on-site facilities in the area, half of the rooms with hot tubs on private balconies, an on-site spa with poolside seating and a bar, stylish restaurant and cocktail bar, bike hire, wakesurfing and paddleboading. We came for my partners 50 birthday and had a great time.the pool was amazing.

With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake District scenery. This has to be one of the most welcoming, cosy and relaxing places to stay. Hospitality at the very best. Everything was more than perfect and we hope to return another time.

Suitable for adults only, each room at Jerichos come with flat-screen TVs, en suite bathrooms and iPod docks. Tea/coffee making facilities are also provided. Original Victorian period features adorn the property, which also offers a cosy lounge. This is a lovely place to spend 1 or several nights. House is immaculately kept and owners are on site and very accommodating. We very much appreciated the effort they put in to a positive guest experience.

Benefits also include an en suite bathroom, designer toiletries, and a hospitality tray with fresh coffee milk, teas, and biscuits. Love the staff, the room (Jungle), the breakfast! It was a wonderfully warm and comfortable room and bed, with a welcoming bath. Breakfast was in the room - great selection of hot food, toast, juices, tea and French press coffee.

Situated in Levens, 18 km from World of Beatrix Potter, The Hare and Hounds, Levens features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 32 km of Trough of Bowland. The property is non-smoking and is set 12 km from Kendal Castle. We absolutely loved our two night stay at the Hare and Hounds. It is in our opinion like an old world coaching Inn. Nooks and crannies, the odd low headroom doorway etc. Friendly staff and enjoyed the food, breakfast was lovely. We really liked the fact that while dining there were no TVs on in the background. How many places are there now with TVs on while you are eating, absolutely stifling the art of conversation.

Set in Ambleside, 9.4 km from World of Beatrix Potter, Stiles of Ambleside features rooms with mountain views and free WiFi. It is located 16 km from Lake Windermere and offers a housekeeping service. Muncaster Castle is 35 km from the bed and breakfast and Buttermere is 45 km away. Everything- from the room to the bath to the breakfast, everything was amazing. We had a wonderful time during the easter holidays. Highly recommend staying in the Merlot King room.
