Rockingham Castle is about 20 minutes' drive away, and Rockingham Speedway is about 13 miles from The Three Swans. After 20 hours of flying, and 3 hours of trains, it was amazing that my first conversation with someone from England was the lovely young lady behind the counter at the three swans. She let me check in early, asked about my plans showed genuine interest in what I had to say. Even asked me about my tattoos. It was nice to be treated so well.

With freshly cooked food and a selection of real ales, The Star Inn dates back to the 18th century. It is situated in Thrussington, a charming village on the River Wreake, and offers free Wi-Fi throughout. Quintissential English small village pub at the village green for us Aussies! Location was convenient for visiting and hosting relatives at the Inn, as the meals were excellent. Staff always very helpful. Breakfast in the lovely Bistro Room was great quality too.

Cooked breakfasts are also available daily. The staff, the food, and the rooms were exceptional. We always enjoy our stay at this first-class establishment. Hopefully, it will be repeated many times more.
