The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, always ready to help with any questions or requests. Although the room was not very large, it was thoughtfully furnished, cozy, and had everything we needed. I particularly appreciated the small touches — like the daily treats, cookies, and coffee provided in the room. These little details made the whole experience feel extra special and warm. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, an iPod docking station, a minibar and tea and coffee-making facilities. The staff was absolutely outstanding. We were early to our check-in and the front desk took our bags. When the room was ready, our bags were already there. I just thought that was the nicest touch. The breakfast was so well priced for such quality and quantity. Everyone was so attentive and answered all of our random travel questions. I loved how close it was to Old Town with the hustle and bustle, but when we were ready to come back to a quieter part of the city, this place was just the perfect place to get comfy in the lounge for a snack and a dram. Truly, would not book anywhere else in Edinburgh!

Period classy architecture with modern interior design
Traditional building with excellent sensitive renovation to combine traditional with modern. I am an interior designer and I was impressed by a creative modern approach respecting the original aspects of building interior. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
A quirky and very well designed boutique hotel. Very stylishly designed, great staff and lots of well thought out extra features included (like a breakfast hamper, "milk and cookies" if you want them in the evening, a £10 bar credit).
The interior designer/decorator of this gorgeous hotel is brilliant. The lush textures, the thoughtful touches, rich colors and color palettes, the coziness, quiet luxury and beauty of each room and area was just perfection. You wanted to just melt into a velvet chair or take tea next to the huge windows overlooking the city or read a book on a plush sofa in some cozy corner. Beautiful.
Lovely room with a comfortable bed and castle view. The hotel has a quirky designer boutique feel.
