This traditional, ivy-clad country free house close to Bath has beautiful boutique rooms and is just 3.2 km from picturesque Castle Combe.

The gorgeous 5-star rooms have wet rooms, rain showers, plasma TVs, internet access and stunning soft furnishings. The room was 10/10 had all the amenities, an amazing bed, the bathroom was top notch as well. The breakfast was unbelievable, best breakfast that we have had on a hotel.

Nearby attractions include Stonehenge, Wilton House, Salisbury Cathedral featuring “The Magna Carta”, Wardour Castle, Old Sarum, Longleat Safari park and Paulton’s Theme Park featuring Peppa Pig World. We are only 1 hour from Bath, and there are a host of fabulous golf courses and fishing areas, plus some of the most beautiful riverside walks. A lovely riverside pub called The Bridge Inn Woodford is a 5-minute drive away and has a stunning pub garden overlooking the water. A giant Waitrose Supermarket is within a 10-minute drive. Excellent choice. Best stay on our roadtrip. Highly recommended!

Nestled in the quiet Wiltshire village of Upton Scudamore, The Angel Inn is a beautifully restored 16th century coaching inn. It is decorated with natural wood furnishings and features a restaurant, a bar and free parking on-site. The room was spacious for two people and the bathroom was quite large. The towels were soft. The mini fridge had complementary orange juice and a small jug of milk for tea and coffee, as well as some water bottles. There was a nice cereal selection, as well as the sandwich offered for the breakfast the next morning. The shower heated up to a good temperature and was consistent. I liked both the large waterfall head and the hose. The fan was also nice to have!

Just a 15-minute drive from Stonehenge, The Pembroke Arms offers a restaurant, bar, free Wi-Fi and free parking. It is situated in the Wilton Estate, and Salisbury can be reached in 5 minutes by car.

Rooms are elegant and traditionally furnished, and each benefits from a flat-screen TV and an en suite bathroom with free toiletries. The hotel is furnished with a colonial, Rajasthan theme, and features a range of antiques and locally made furnishings. Staff incredibly friendly and courteous. Breakfast was delicious. And the little touches like cold milk and brownies in your room every day made you feel welcomed. Dinner on the grounds was a fun experience--outside, community, great food. Loved everything about this place!

With colourful linens and individual decor, the cosy rooms at Redwood have private bathrooms with free toiletries. Rooms also feature a flat-screen TV/DVD player, and tea/coffee facilities. Bubba and Sandy were brilliant, and we very much enjoyed our big room with a wonderful view of the White Horse. The breakfast was the best we've had in the UK thus far!!

Experience levels of service that you would find hard to better anywhere in England. excellent ambience, aesthetic and cosy indoors, super friendly and helpful staff, great amenities and amazing breakfast. I don’t usually rate hotels with 10, but that’s certainly a must visit, 10/10!

Rollestone Manor B&B and Restaurant is a beautiful, award-winning Grade II listed historic house, located just minutes from the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge. Bath is less than an hour's drive away. Free WiFi is available in the main areas of the house and the rooms. Loved the coziness of the Manor and our room.

In the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, this traditional country inn offers stylish and attractive accommodation; Michelin-recommended food; and peaceful, tranquil surroundings for a relaxing or romantic break. Free WiFi is accessible throughout. We were a family of 4, my husband, myself and my in-laws. The rooms are very beautiful, clean and have a unique character. The restaurant and bar are truly beautiful and convenient. Staff is exceptional and very helpful. We asked the owner if we could have breakfast at 8am instead of 9am, she immidiatley accepted and served us home-made breakfast on saturday and sunday. The food both breakfast and dinner were satisfying and good portions. I would recommend this inn because it feels like home.

The Apartments @ Quidhampton Mill has river views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Salisbury, 3.3 km from Salisbury Train Station. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. The apartment features family rooms. Super clean, with very nice, thoughtful touches. Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely room which was very clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast! Couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay!
