Boasting a privileged location, 300 metres from the gate of Monemvasia’s castle, Malvasia Traditional Hotel offers stone-built units most with views over the sea. The room was small and clean. Everything was great. The view from terrace was exceptional. The staff changed our towels and sheets everyday. Very nice breakfast choice and dining room.

Built of stone, Bastione Malvasia Hotel is situated in the medieval castle of Monemvasia, just 300 metres from the gate. Nice and big room in multiple levels with a great view and privacy. Comfortable and super clean bed and bathroom. Independent entrance. We stayed at the “Suite with balcony”. Highly recommend property!

Breakfast was delicious and very plentiful. It was more than we could eat. The staff was so helpful — provided lots of recommendations for dinner, the area, and for our exploration of the Mani Peninsula.

Beautiful room in an original "Mani" setting. We were lucky to be on the top floor, where you have like a common terrace where you can watch the sunset. The staff is super friendly and the centre of Areopolis is a less than 2 minutes walk. We did not book the breakfast, which probably was our loss since the breakfast in the town were not that good, so better book it here.

Lying on a private beach, a 30-minute drive away from the village of Monemvasia, Alas Resort & Spa offers 5-star accommodation with views over the Laconic Gulf. Great view, great breakfast and food, clean room, nice spa facilities, friendly staff. All in all a great stay.

Located in the Castle of Monemvasia, Ritsos Guesthouse offers stone-built accommodation with sea or garden views. Rooms and apartments at Guesthouse Ritsos are warmly decorated opening out to a patio.... THIS was our favorite stay and we stayed in 6 different locations in 11 days. We loved this little island..we explored the entire island..hiking every stairwell, ruin, hidden pathways and the perimeter. There are only a handful of restaraunts but I imagine they are all yummy. We peeked our heads into 4 of them and chose the one that felt right. They were all very welcoming and the food was yummy. We felt the prices for the hotel (UBER CHARMING) and the restaurants were very fair. The hostess' were delightful and the breakfast was delicious!

A place is run by a nice and hospitable couple - they serverd delicious breakfast; we also received a bottle of wine from a family winery. Absolutely pleasant place to stay :)
