Everything about this hotel is magical and should be a beacon for anyone in the hospitality business. First and foremost: The staff - they are more than just nice and friendly - they make you feel like it’s their home - and you are THEIR GUEST, and therefore your comfort and wellbeing is their top priority. A perfect 10/10 in feel-good vibe. Next, The rooms and facilities - so damn beautiful and tasteful, well maintained, clean, and cozy. From the comfy bed to the romantic shower, the stunning Mountain View from everywhere you look, the nice pool that goes so well with a glass of delicious white wine, the wooden balconies, the lush garden that surrounds the whole area - the place is a simple paradise. Lastly, The food - one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had in a hotel. Brought up to our room in a basket, rich with options, everything so fresh and full of taste. Not a single industrial ingredient. Probably the best hotel experience we have ever encountered.

Lying on a private beach, a 30-minute drive away from the village of Monemvasia, Alas Resort & Spa offers 5-star accommodation with views over the Laconic Gulf. Great hotel and staff. Very nice beach with enough sunbeds and umbrellas. Elia with restaurants and supermarkets is easy reachable by foot in 15-20 minutes, although the car is recommended to visit Monevmasia and many other places. The hotel helped us with transfers and renting the car, everything was very easy. Good restaurant, my recommendation will be not to take half-board. It is very nice with wonderful choice of dishes, but in the regular menu the choice is bigger.

Located in the Castle of Monemvasia, Ritsos Guesthouse offers stone-built accommodation with sea or garden views. Rooms and apartments at Guesthouse Ritsos are warmly decorated opening out to a patio.... THIS was our favorite stay and we stayed in 6 different locations in 11 days. We loved this little island..we explored the entire island..hiking every stairwell, ruin, hidden pathways and the perimeter. There are only a handful of restaraunts but I imagine they are all yummy. We peeked our heads into 4 of them and chose the one that felt right. They were all very welcoming and the food was yummy. We felt the prices for the hotel (UBER CHARMING) and the restaurants were very fair. The hostess' were delightful and the breakfast was delicious!

We were very happy with our apartment which is situated a few meters and a few stairs away from the Monemvasia main gate (please note that you have to carry your suitcases or backpacks because of the cobble stones). The apartment is nicely furnished, offers a great view on the ocean from the windows (+ from the bed :)) and also has amenities like a coffee machine & coffee tabs. The owners have a store downstairs where you can get the keys and buy their local products like olive oil, wine or skin care. We had some problems with noise from the opposite bar one night because they tend to play loud music on Saturdays and the hosts did all they can to make up for it, even though it was not their fault and we really appreciated it. In terms of hospitality, these were one of the nicest hosts we have met so far.

Mariantzela is an amazing cook, she has been very helpful , and most kind! We had a great experience ! Thank you Mariantela! Location and the view from the room were also a big plus!! We will definately come back again!
