Enjoying a seafront position and offering a restaurant boasting sea views, Design Hotel Royal is located in the centre of Opatija, steps away from Angiolina Park. The hotel is one of the few cases where my expectations were exceeded. From the moment we entered the hotel and checked in, the reception staff (Mr. Bono and Helena) were extremely friendly, as well as during our stay. This is a great rarity nowadays. In addition, The rooms and bathrooms are large, clean, bright with a great view. Mrs. Paula Loncar, the hotel sales manager, personally asked us several times how our stay was going. The reason we visited Opatija was my mother's 70th birthday. In this regard, on her birthday, she received a large chocolate cake as a compliment from the hotel. The services offered by the hotel were diverse, far from the standard lounges and taxis, such as a boat trip, a tour of the city with a retro car and many other nice and interesting services that one can remember for a lifetime. Well done to everyone, I hope there are more such places not only in Croatia, but why not in Bulgaria as well. I definitely recommend this place, it will leave a great memory in you for a lifetime.

The staff was amazing, as well as the outdoor kitchen and the self-service vegetable garden. We picked vegetables almost every day. The beach was also nice, the pine forest was great on hot days.

When we arrived around 9:30 PM, the owner welcomed us with a glass of local pálinka on the terrace and sat down to chat with us about the villa and the surrounding area.
