From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is simply stunning, offering breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea — it truly made our stay unforgettable. The staff were outstandingly friendly, professional, and helpful, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. The hotel restaurant was another highlight, offering an exceptional breakfast and dining experience with delicious food, a great atmosphere, and those same beautiful sea views. Everything about this hotel - from the room to the service - was flawless. We couldn’t think of a single thing that didn’t exceed our expectations. Located 900 metres from the centre of Lovran and just 20 metres from the nearest beach, Hotel Villa Astra is set in a quiet area, next to the 15-km long seaside promenade and consists of a main building and an annex. Buffet breakfast is available on site, as well as a Wellness Area. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are offered. A beautiful villa, dating from the early 1900’s, tastefully converted to a hotel by its owner, Vjecko Martinko. A feeling of wellness is evident in the property, directly on the famous Lungo Mare, a short distance from the old village of Lovran. A lovely breakfast each morning on the terrace sets the pattern of the day. The staff were are very friendly and Vjecko himself was present each day. It is only a few metres to swim in the crystal clear water of the Kvarner gulf, which we did several times each day, even in the rain.

Built in 1909 by a Viennese entrepreneur Anton Urm, this hotel has hosted numerous aristocratic guests, including the Austrian-Hungarian emperor Franz Joseph. It was rebuilt almost 80 years later, with attention to its original design and preserving a romantic atmosphere. The views are amazing and the food is just superb - breakfast is unbelievable! Featuring a wellness & spa centre, the newly renovated Hotel Bellevue - Liburnia is housed in a beautiful Empire-style building, as one of the oldest hotel it is considered a local landmark. Ideally set along the main street facing the sea, it offers free Wi-Fi and an à-la-carte restaurant. We loved our stay in this hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious, beds huge and comfortable and the sea view was always gorgeous! Our rooms were very quite, with thick walls, even baby camera did not work in the next room. Breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of tasty food. We also enjoyed the main restaurant premises - all light coloured and spacious, with baby chairs for those who need. SPA zone and swimming pool I can recommend. The swimming pool is nicely big with heated salty sea water. SPA treatments are various and done by professionals with lots of care and attention to your needs. Hotel staff was everywhere - in the restaurant, at reception and in the SPA, very friendly and attentive. We felt well taken care of and pampered :)
