A beautiful villa, dating from the early 1900’s, tastefully converted to a hotel by its owner, Vjecko Martinko. A feeling of wellness is evident in the property, directly on the famous Lungo Mare, a short distance from the old village of Lovran. A lovely breakfast each morning on the terrace sets the pattern of the day. The staff were are very friendly and Vjecko himself was present each day. It is only a few metres to swim in the crystal clear water of the Kvarner gulf, which we did several times each day, even in the rain.

Completely renovated in 2020 and housed in an Austro-Hungarian villa dating back to 1886, this 5-star hotel is situated amid a well-groomed St. Jacob Park in the centre of Opatija. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can confidently say it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The hotel is not only beautifully designed, but it also exudes a coziness that immediately makes you feel at home. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was absolutely superb, offering a wide variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. Every morning felt like a special treat, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a presentation that was simply stunning. The staff at the hotel deserve special mention. They were absolutely delightful—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their genuine care and helpfulness added a personal touch to my stay, making it even more memorable.
