Spacious room, clean, complimentary shampoo/body lotion/toothbrush, clean nice big towels, clean and big bed, work desk, big tv, AC working great, water dispensers in every hallway so you can always get water if you are thirsty. Very nice staff. Gym is ok, small but ok for a quick workout just to keep moving while on vacation/business trip. Breakfast is great, very big buffet, lots of choices, very nice people working there. Location is great, walk 10-15 minutes everywhere we liked or drove with Grab in 10 minutes everywhere else that was not walkable (malls, Malioboro street, etc.). Oh and great water pressure and hot water!!! Finally!!

We stayed for 2 nights at Dagi Abhinaya #2 which had the best sunrise view of Borobudur at 4:30 am! Although we arrived slightly after 8 pm, Ms Astuti the receptionist arranged for us to be taken to the restaurant where they served us afternoon tea of brownie and a sweet pastry with coffee/ tea. Our dinner orders of fried chicken and rice were promptly whipped up by the restaurant. The staff waited patiently for us to finish our meal and drove us to Dagi Hill (5 mins away) and another staff stationed there carried our bags to the cabin. My son was happy to find his extra bed ready and tucked in quickly. Kudos to Astuti the receptionist who made sure that all our needs were attended to (from arranging the timing for breakfast, mini-bus pick up from Dagi to the restaurant) so that we made it right on time to the lobby at 8:30 am to get our tickets and slippers, and meet with our guide before taking the buggy to the temple entrance ( right across the restaurant) just before the 9 am ascent. Astuti also helped to arrange for a driver/guide to take us to Candi Selogriyo. On the way, Mr Widodo took us to experience a local resto that served getuk pisang (banana snack) and a batik art store that had awesome hand-painted Borobudur batik. On the 2nd day, we upgraded to a picnic breakfast on Dagi hill (with full view of Borobudur) and they served an exquisite dessert of pancake and palm sugar syrup sauce, assortment of fruits, rice with stewed beef in a weaved basket box, fish soup, whole coconut with bamboo straw and herbal drink. The meal was accompanied by soothing gamelan music, and we learned to play the congkak game. As we stayed 2 nights, we got to climb up the temple twice (tickets and guide included) and enjoy it thoroughly!

We booked a king room with club lounge access, and this was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip as the staff ( Mel, Calvin, Lovas, and Jove ) went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. As I'm a vegetarian, I was concerned about the evening cocktail options. I need not have worried as they came up with specialised snacks for me every evening, all delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We found the hotel's staff at breakfast to be considerate and friendly every morning, and there was a whole lot of vegetarian options each morning. The breakfast is amazing overall, and the setting,especially outdoors, is truly enjoyable. The property itself is worth exploring, beautifully designed with expansive gardens and traditional details. The gym is small but equipped with everything you need and everyone seemed to enjoy the swimming pools.

Minutes away from Jakarta's central business district, The Dharmawangsa offers luxurious accommodation with 24-hour butler service and a variety of leisure facilities. My wife kindly booked us into The Dharmawangsa over Christmas to celebrate my birthday and relax for a few days whilst in Jakarta. The hotel is located in a quiet, tree lined residential area so you have the benefit of being away from the congestion of CBD traffic yet just a short drive away from malls like Senayan. On arrival, we were greeted courteously and taken to reception and immediately made to feel welcome and a valued guest. Our room was clean, spacious and quiet with a nice balcony overlooking a tropical tree lined garden area and swimming pool. We also liked the traditional and spacious furnishings and overall decor in the room making us feel comfortable and relaxed. The bathroom is generously sized including a bath tub and shower room along with a plentiful assortment of amenities. I really enjoyed using the varied and excellent leisure facilities at the hotel including the indoor swimming pool, jacuzzis and sauna. I also finished our brief stay with a rejuvenating deep-tissue massage which I would highly recommend. We started each day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel. There is an extensive selection of food available including delicious, traditional Indonesian dishes and other Asian and Western style cuisines. We really liked the wide selection of fresh fruits, juices and freshly baked breads and pastries along with various teas and freshly brewed aromatic arabica coffee. All in all, a perfect way to start the day assisted by warm, helpful and attentive staff. Would like to thanks to say special thanks to Irwan at the Reception; Riyan, Ahmadi, Arief, Affan and Lisa for providing a great experience at Breakfast - along with the delicious food, keeping me supplied with excellent arabica coffee and introducing me to the tasty and refreshing Jamu juice. I really appreciated the surprise birthday greeting and cake too; all the staff at the Spa & Wellness Centre.

Offering a private outdoor swimming pool and free all-day use of a car and driver, Rosseno Villa is located in Yogyakarta and only a 15-minute drive to the Keraton Yogyakarta Palace. The cats, Meggie's hospitality, the staff peewee, Andi, and our driver rusdi (the other one) were great! Peewee's cooking was great, I loved not needing to think of what to eat. Andi was also helpful and kind. Rusdi was patient and really nice. They were all really great!
