On the shores of Killary Harbour lies Ireland's oldest coaching inn. Dating from 1796, you'll find traditional home cooking, antique furniture and the most spectacular views in Ireland. The location is absolutely stunning, most rooms have a view of the fjord, it's so peaceful there, I loved the breakfast buffet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a few minutes walk to the village along the fjord and the community park with panoramic views of the whole fjord. This was my second visit and I will definitely stay here again.

The Stop is 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of Galway and half a mile from the coast. This 1930s property offers stylish rooms and a contemporary feel throughout, complemented by modern art work. Very accommodating! We ran late for check in due to a flat tire, but Connor was there waiting for us. We were welcomed right away. It was a nice relief after such a stressful day. Thank you!

On the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, the Waterfront House & Restaurant offers luxury boutique accommodation and breathtaking views over Killala Bay and golden Enniscrone Beach. Stunning position overlooking the best beach. This hotel allows you to see the light changing over the bay which feels like every 5 mins. Wonderful staff. We had executive rooms which were huge - ample storage space, peaceful view, everything 'worked' in the room, comfy beds, good shower. This place is simple, perhaps a bit dated for some but it has a special charm. 5 mins from the victorian seaweed baths, which is a must. Other than that just walk on the beach and relax. The restaurant serves great chowder amongst other goodies. Special shout out to Sarah on reception and Olivia and Mary in the restaurant
