In a quiet corner of Clifden, this quiet haven of rich comfort and classic Irish hospitality is just 93 steps from the vibrant buzz of Clifden town centre.

Dun Ri Guest House serves both full Irish and lighter breakfast options. All are freshly prepared with locally sourced produce, homemade breads and preserves. Fantastic location 5 minutes from the main bus stop but very quiet. Michael was a great host (got us in touch with a fantastic taxi driver who took us to Omey Island and back for a reasonable price), the sitting room on the ground floor had tea and coffee and great selection of books and games. Breakfast was great! Truly the best experience as a base to explore Connemara. I have only superlatives to say.

The breakfast was a perfect continental spread which exceeded our expectations. I must mention James Joyce the barman who makes the best cosmopolitan cocktail in Ireland. He was such a lovely person and so helpful. A definite must stay if you are in Clifden.
