On the shores of Killary Harbour lies Ireland's oldest coaching inn. Dating from 1796, you'll find traditional home cooking, antique furniture and the most spectacular views in Ireland. Beautiful location, very friendly staff and great service at bar and restaurant. We spend a lot of time there because the food was amazing so we needed to try everything!

Set in beautiful gardens in the heart of Connemara, the romantic Abbeyglen Castle Hotel has tennis courts, a spa bath and stunning views of Clifden and the Twelve Bens mountains. What a wonderful surprise! This hotel is a pure marvel.

Buttermilk Lodge offers self-catering apartments 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, you can just park your car and easily walk to town. The B&B was a little apartment, equipped with absolutely everything needed for a short stay. It was perfectly organized, a fresh brown bread and a fruit cake made by the owner was a nice surprise on arrival. Very good location, you can walk to the town, at the same time local attractions like Sky Road Loop or Kylemore Abbey are easy to reach by car. Absolutely perfect place for a stay.

The Alcock and Brown hotel in Clifden is a central and cosy hotel offering a dedicated welcoming service in a relaxed atmosphere. A really lovely hotel to stay for reasonable price. Spacious rooms, excellent breakfast. Sited amid of town. Really nice restaurants and bars around. No elevator in the hotel, though.
