The Waterfront Rest B&B is a beach-front property located on the peaceful Wild Atlantic Way in the heart of Connemara. Rooms overlook the beautiful water and free WiFi is available in public areas. The property is recommended by Le Guide du Routard. This was our first experience in a bed and breakfast and we thoroughly appreciated it. The host was friendly, warm, and possessed an excellent sense of humor. The breakfast was generous and accompanied by a variety of options made available to us. The premises were clean, full of charm, and offered a beautiful view of the water. I recommend this establishment without hesitation.

The hotel combines a cosy, traditional atmosphere with excellent standards. Rooms and common areas are clean, the restaurant is outstanding, and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming.

We particularly enjoyed the location and warm welcome and helpfulness of the owners. The weather was great and we could go for a swim at Dog’s bay and a walk across Roundstone. Abbeyglen Castle Hotel was built in 1832 and offers a new beauty and relaxation centre, and many indoor and outdoor facilities. Location, environment, character, staff, breakfast. All that means one is spoiled. Have to be back to enjoy the prosecco and history tales we missed due to late arrival. But we enjoyed the evening music and atmosphere.
