Offering a restaurant, Riverbank, Country Pub and Guesthouse is located in the countryside 10 minutes’ drive from Carrickmacross. Everything about this property is fabulous. Tucked away down country lanes , set on a river. Our welcome was warm and genuine. We found all the staff to be polite and friendly even though they were dealing with a roomful of people.We liked the food so much we had lunch, dinner and breakfast here. Definitely worth a detour.

The 4-star Shirley Arms Hotel is located in the market town of Carrickmacross, South Monaghan. It boasts elegant rooms decorated in luxury fabrics, free Wi-Fi and a fine dining restaurant. Super friendly staff, from the welcoming receptionist to the serving staff at breakfast- all very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent, with generous space and lovely ensuite. Location in the middle of Carrickmacross was perfect. Breakfast choices very good and food lovely. A wonderful stay...we will return.
