We loved the location, right in the center of Agrigento town, a few steps off the main street. Close to shops, cafes, restaurants and sights. The main street was buzzing from locals' strolls (we were there in the off season), and had a lovely atmosphere. Even the walk to the Valley of the Temples (outside of town) took no longer than 40 minutes, on paved sidewalk (there is a bus service for those who prefer that). Our room was perfectly clean and well designed, equipped with everything we needed for a 3 days' stay. Orazio checked us in and made sure we had all the information and amenities we needed. We appreciated the attention to details, the cookies, candies, bottled water, toiletries. Martina, a lovely and hospitable lady served us the exceptional breakfast. We had never seen anything alike in Italy, this breakfast had literally everything you can wish for, we called it gourmet breakfast, absolutely abundant, delicious, and served with style! All in all, Amelies's is a wonderful accommodation, highly recommended, especially for couples!

The view from the property is amazing, you can see Agrigento and temples. And breakfest is super tasty. Would visit them again for sure.

Featuring a garden with a free outdoor pool, Doric Eco Boutique Resort & Spa is 2 km from the UNESCO-protected Valley of the Temples. This was a great base for touring around the Agrigento area. The main appeal for us was the private pool each room had. In summer, after a whole day off walking in the heat, relaxing in a pool with a bottle of wine and some snacks was the best. If it was winter, this would need less appealing. The room otherwise was very compact but clean and modernly appointed. Bed comfortable for us. The aircon is a bit noisy at night. We didn't have breakfast, instead we headed to local towns for coffee and cornetto. Are at the restaurant once. It was very good. But it's all about those private pools!
