We loved this hotel! It far exceeded our expectations! We were in one of the new rooms and everything was new and lovely. We had a large terrace with wonderful views. The breakfast was great and you can order omelettes, pancakes etc as well as the continental buffet. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, family-run Il Barilotto offers air-conditioned rooms with a terrace and sea views. Located 4 km from Positano, it comes with free Wi-Fi. I can recommend this hotel to anyone. The owner Giuseppe and all his staff were fantastic. From the time that we arrived there…. They went out of their way with info, gave free shuttle service daily to and from town. The owner himself dropped us off at the bus station with our luggage this morning. We rented a scooter at the property which was very convenient. The breakfasts were out of this world, 5 star food and service every morning. This place deserves a 5* rating in my opinion.

It was perfect for us as we backpacked through the Amalfi Coast. The place is charming, breakfast was delicious, it was really great.

He was so welcoming, polite and knowledgeable about the area. La Maurella was a beautiful place to stay in Praiano - which we thought was our favourite place in the Amalfi coast.
