Without doubt this was the absolute highlight of an already fabulous trip - with EVERYTHING lovingly thought of and delivered, and with the loveliest of staff. We were picked up from the train station by the smiling and friendly Rocco in their fabulous 2CV and whisked through the narrow streets of the historical centre of Monopoli to simply beautiful accommodation. The building itself houses a number of different rooms and apartments - we had two studio apartments that were immaculate, beautifully designed and everything you could imagine included: a well equipped little kitchen, a lovely bathroom with robe and slippers, a tiny balcony and a super comfortable bed. Patricia the manager was an absolute delight and showed us to our rooms, and her colleague Florinda was also so charming and helpful. The breakfast, overseen by the lovely and ever attentive Daniela, was by far the best of our whole trip (plus that of our previous visit to Puglia) with a vast selection of fresh produce, both hot and cold, and the choice to sit down the little alleyway outside the property or inside a charming little room which becomes a restaurant in the evening. All the other staff too were smiling and cheerful and welcoming. The little hotel is right in the heart of this charming little old town, overlooking a picture-perfect square, and just one street from the seafront. We will definitely be coming back for a longer visit - and will use this as a perfect base to explore the area further. We all send huge thanks to everyone at Santa Maria 24 for such a magical stay. We can't wait to see you again next time!

Stafania, she's effectively and efficiently communicated with us since Day 1, providing all the necessary information to nearby attractions, i.e. Matera & Alberobello. Then following up our arrival details so the young couple owner could personally met us at the front entrance. Additionally, a bottle of washing liquid and hand basin for hand washing, bottle of rose + 2 chilled bottles of water were very welcome. In room has all one needs including the tourist information in a safe, spacious, impressive classical complex housing several floors and numbers of individual apartments. Safe to return at night with bright lightings at hallways, floors and entrance. The apartment indeed is 5 minutes walk from the railway station and 10 minus to historical centre and port. Plenty of restaurants, Spa the supermarket at the station, and the restful bar at the terrace all at the station are handy. Bari Central Station is a safe area patrolled by armed forces for order and peace, as in all major stations. Italians are soft spoken and drivers normally give way to pedestrians. This apartment offers one of the top experience during our stay, caring, attentive and hospitable. Bari the city itself has so much to offer, worth a 2-3 days stay besides the over-touristy Matera and Alberobello!
