Overlooking Matera’s Sasso Barisano, Fra I Sassi Residence is set in restored 17th-century buildings inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO site area. Our room had the most amazing views of the historic center. It was worth the stay just for the view! But luckily, everything else was great as well. The room was comfortable with a huge shower. The staff were absolutely lovely and provided us with vegan croissants when I told them we were vegan. For us, the location was great as it was right in the middle of everything.

L'Arturo B&B offers modern-style rooms in central Matera, 50 metres from its Cathedral. Free WiFi is provided in the entire building. The location was perfect ,very close to the historic center and within walking distance to all the main attractions. The room was clean and the hosts were absolutely amazing ,warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. They gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area. You can really see how much they care about making their guests feel at home. We would definitly recommend this place to anyone visiting Matera.

The room was nice and clean, comfortable with lots of amenities, even espresso machine, has a cosy indoor balcony. The hostess is a wonderful lady that suggested and pointed us out all the sightseeings and the way to access them. She also offered us her parking lot to leave our motorbikes.
