I had already read the stellar reviews about the place but it surpassed my (already high) expectations. Of course the hotel is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and small but well equipped with everything that's necessary for a comfortable stay. It also has views towards the inviting sea or towards the hill with the castle on top that looks like it was taken out of a too-good-to-be-true book about Tuscany. Still, what beats all of this is the care of Elena and Roberta who are there as if to welcome you into their home. They are kind, caring, helpful with the logistics, and always carry a smile! When we left, we felt we were leaving our friends who'd hopefully wait for us to return. If I find my way back to Castiglione, I will run to this place. Until then, I recommend it to those finding their way there in the meantime!

The property is non-smoking and is located 18 km from Piombino Port. For our extended family of 6, the location was wonderful. On clear days we were able to see the Mediterranean Sea from the veranda and the sunsets were incredible. Only 15-20 minutes to the beach.
