The terrace was a bonus and at times we just sat in the deck chairs overlooking Riomaggiore and escaping the crowds in the lower half of Riomaggiore. Also, the hosts were very helpful offering information and vouchers available to guests staying in Cinque Terre which gave discounts on certain tickets and experiences.

A 2-minute walk from Manarola’s rocky beaches, Hotel Marina Piccola features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi access. It is characterised by the stone walls contrasting with the modern furnishings. A modern little hotel with wonderful owners. Alfredo and Jessica were extremely welcoming and great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They have great advise about the area; when ,where and how to visit places. ( superb English too). The room was modern , comfortable and spotless with a view right onto the street. (Though peaceful at night) A great location to visit the other towns by trek or train. Breakfast was delicious with a great range of products , freshly cooked as you arrived.
