At Aretusa Vacanze B&B all rooms are spacious and offer a kitchenette, free Wi-Fi, and an LCD satellite TV. A nice family-run hotel in a splendid location, very close to the Dome Square. The staff, especially Stepano went out of theitr way to make our stay really pleasant. The breakfast was amazing, the selection of home-made jams really unique. We received all the help we needed and got useful recommendations. All in all it was a showcase how to run a family hotel making the guests happy.

We really appreciated the warm welcome from Alberto, who took the time to talk us through some excellent local recommendations for places to eat, visit, etc. The room was comfortable and kept spotlessly clean through our stay (thank you to the wonderful Anita!). Great breakfast with a selection of different sweet and savoury options (including lovely homemade cakes!). Fantastic location, in the very heart of charming Ortigia. We'd highly recommend La Residenza del Reginale!

Set in a historic building, Palazzo Gilistro features accommodation with free WiFi access. It is located in Ortygia, a 5-minute walk from the Temple of Apollo.

With a balcony, the air-conditioned rooms come with a flat-screen TV and some have views of the sea. Each has a private bathroom equipped with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Palazzo Gilistro is a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of ortigia. The bridges to Siracusa are about a 5 min walk away while from Gilistro nothing in Ortigia is more than 10 minutes away- most cafes, restaurants, the harbour and the historical sites are within 5 minutes or less (cafes and resturants surround Gilistro). The train station and the bus station are about a 15/20 minute walk away. The rooms are beautiful light and airy while public areas are tastefully decorated. There is also a terrace to have a drink which is a lovely space although it was a bit cool to use when I stayed. My room was spotless. Breakfast is extensive- there are very healthy choices (nuts, fruit yogurt etc), sweet options (croissant, biscotti, cakes and muffins), cheese, bread and cold meats etc. Wonderful coffee and company from the ladies working in the breakfast room. There are some especially lovely people working at the hotel who make guests feel very welcome. I would recommend Palazzo Gilistro to anyone.

Offering city views, Il Salotto di Maria Pia is an accommodation set in Siracusa, 500 metres from Tempio di Apollo and 200 metres from Fontana di Diana. Offering private parking, the bed and breakfast is 800 metres from Castello Maniace. The property is 300 metres from Cala Rossa Beach, and within 70 metres of the city centre. Central position with a beautiful view day and night Clean and cared for - Paola was helpful and accomodating with our timing changes and got us a garage park for the 2 days

Set in a historic 19th-century building in Siracusa's main square, Il Duomo offers en suite rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. The Lungomare di Levante seafront promenade is 100 metres away.

Every room comes with a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Some rooms offer views of the square, and some overlook the garden. Lovely stay! Big bedrooms, considering the location. Very central, which is the main advantage, exactly what we were looking for. Owners were very helpful at providing directions to the property. Good restaurants nearby.

Set in the Ciane and Saline Nature Reserve, Hotel Borgo Pantano is located 7 km from Siracusa and the nearest beaches. It offers countryside views, a peaceful location and an outdoor swimming pool.

The friendly staff at the Borgo Pantano can help with local information. The hotel’s extensive grounds include a terrace with tables and chairs. The hotel owner is the best , most amazing hostess. She is meticulous in every detail at the hotel. From the staff to the food, all excellent. Such an amazing breakfast buffet. Location is away from the town of Siracusa , but only a quick 15 minute shuttle ride. Thank you for a lovely and pleasant 3 day stay.

Set on Ortigia Island overlooking the Ionian Sea, Algilà Ortigia Charme is right on the seafront. It features elegant, air-conditioned rooms equipped with antique furnishings from the 1700s. WiFi here is free. The two room suite we stayed in, with 3 adults, worked well for our family. It was elegant and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Palazzo Artemide - VRetreats is in the heart of Ortigia Island, next to the Cathedral. It offers free lobby Wi-Fi and modern, air-conditioned rooms.

The "Amunì Cocktail Bar & Restaurant" serves new and traditional Sicilian recipes. Drinks are served at the bar and can be enjoyed in Piazza Minerva square. Excellent location and spotless clean room. The friendly staff were always ready to provide tourist suggestions. Valet parking was very convenient. The hotel also provided beach towels for a small fee. Excellent services!
