Aretusa Vacanze is located in a completely renovated 17th-century building at the centre of Syracuse's Ortygia Island. It offers self-catering rooms. Great location, in the heart of Ortigia. Spacious and clean room. The room had a kitchenette and a fridge. We took breakfast at the terrace on the roof, where we could view the sea. Stefano was a great host, advising us about restaurants and boat trips.

Set in a historic building, Palazzo Gilistro features accommodation with free WiFi access. It is located in Ortygia, a 5-minute walk from the Temple of Apollo. Central location, excellent facilities, but most of all the staff are amazing!!!!

The staff were second to none. Extremely welcoming and lovely. The terrace area was a divine area to sit for the most amazing breakfast and an afternoon spritz.

We LOVED Il Salotto di Maria Pia! The rooms were nicely furnished and very quiet. The bathroom was modern and superb, loved the shower. The BEST part was that our room had a little balcony overlooking the Piazza Duomo (and I mean it was RIGHT on the piazza looking towards the cathedral that was built on the site of an Ancient Greek temple with columns still visible!) and there was a superb cafe for breakfast just outside the door. So the location was SUPERB. There is no traffic on the piazza either. Ortigia is very chill and quiet (definitely the best area to stay in Syracuse), and it was wonderful watching people wander by beneath our balcony. Our host Paola was very sweet and tried very hard to make sure everything was going well for us. She was very easy to stay in touch with via WhatsApp. Even though she was dealing with some family issues, she made sure to check in with us throughout our stay and made sure our room was tidied while we were out. Overall a great place to stay. Note this is not a hotel-type stay, but rooms in a building.

Fabrizio, Zaira and many others were super helpful at any demand. The owner/manager Giusi was always there helping out with hints and a constant eye for every detail. Breakfast is superb. I can defintely tell that the pictures at Booking.com do not demonstrate well enough how beautifully set is the property. The pool is huge and "resort-like" which is super-handy for the ferocious Sicilian summer heat, however it was never full of people. Just perfect. Spacious and clean rooms.

The property was charming and well decorated, located right in front of the ocean. Very close to everything. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable.

This boutique hotel is in the centre of Ortigia, near Piazza Duomo. It is set in a historic building with high ceilings and stone walls. Each of the 6 rooms is spacious and unique. Giovanni is the best host ! Grazie mille !

Offering a large breakfast, spacious rooms, and friendly service, Giuggiulena B&B has panoramic views across the bay to Siracusa's historic centre, the island of Ortygia, 20 minutes' walk away. The best room to stay in Siracusa if you want to watch the sea first thing in the morning. Just one step from the room, you jump into the water directly. Very special place. Highly recommended
