Aretusa Vacanze is located in a completely renovated 17th-century building at the centre of Syracuse's Ortygia Island. It offers self-catering rooms. Great location, in the heart of Ortigia. Spacious and clean room. The room had a kitchenette and a fridge. We took breakfast at the terrace on the roof, where we could view the sea. Stefano was a great host, advising us about restaurants and boat trips.

Set in a historic building, Palazzo Gilistro features accommodation with free WiFi access. It is located in Ortygia, a 5-minute walk from the Temple of Apollo. Amazing stay in heart of Ortigia. Very helpful staff and clean rooms. Recommended

Set in a historic 19th-century building in Siracusa's main square, Il Duomo offers en suite rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. The Lungomare di Levante seafront promenade is 100 metres away. The owner Stephano and his wife are really helpfull and kind person. We have visited Siracusa with two children U10. We messed up the parking and drove into the old city, but Stephano arranged everything with the police and we could park in the Dome Square in their house. The breakfast was delicious, the best we have eaten in Sicily! The room was really quiet despite of the central location. Stephano speaks good English and his wife speaks French. I can recommend it for pairs and families as well.

Breakfast was fantastic: eggs cooked at the minute, good choice of coffee, fantastic biscuits and fresh orange juice. The service was on point: we got help to reach a sand beach and great recommendations for food.

This boutique hotel is in the centre of Ortigia, near Piazza Duomo. It is set in a historic building with high ceilings and stone walls. Each of the 6 rooms is spacious and unique. Giovanni is a wonderful host, with nothing too much trouble. My room and terrace were large, with great air conditioning. So well located, with everything close by in this stunning part of the world, and his restaurant tips were superb. Great to compare French and Sicilian croissants for breakfast!

Palazzo Artemide - VRetreats is in the heart of Ortigia Island, next to the Cathedral. It offers free lobby Wi-Fi and modern, air-conditioned rooms. Hotel staff was outstanding, helpful. Location was perfect, right besides the Dome.

Offering a large breakfast, spacious rooms, and friendly service, Giuggiulena B&B has panoramic views across the bay to Siracusa's historic centre, the island of Ortygia, 20 minutes' walk away. The location is fantastic, with direct access to the sea. Our room was very spacious and clean, with a balcony with a breathtaking view. There is also a beautiful rooftop terrace. The breakfast was very good, with different dishes every day. The owners Claudia and Sabrina are very friendly and helpful. It is a 20-minute walk to the old town (Ortigia).
