Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! We love the Miyajima guest house, the staff was super friendly, the location was great, the common areas were beautiful! We also really enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. Overall the only negative was that we only stayed one night, would love to come back and stay at least two nights in the future. ❤️

I arranged a special surprise with the hotel to propose to my girlfriend, initially disguised as a birthday gift with a room upgrade and room service dinner. This review is thus not representative for the room linked to this booking. However, I want to specifically praise the hotel staff, with a specific shout-out to Katagiri. They went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience and I cannot thank them enough! The view from the seaside rooms is amazing and the beds are very comfy, the traditional dinner is on point and the staff is just wonderful.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access.

The stylish rooms at ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA feature tatami-mat flooring and private bathrooms. Amenities include a flat-screen TV and DVD player. It's by far the best hotel experience we had in Japan, after being in 4-5 other cities. The lounge facing ocean with sunset view is amazing, and the rooftop bath in the night overlooking the bay and the Tori is intimate and relaxing, after the crowd is gone. The staff is extremely caring and offered personalized advice to visit and dine out. We were late for check-out because of some delay with the ropeway, but the staff really cared about our wellbeing. Cherry on top, beds in Japan are usually very hard but this hotel gave me the best sleep!

Renewed in 2013, Sakuraya offers affordable Japanese-style rooms with mountain or sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 3-minute walk away.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with green tea bags. All rooms have a private toilet, and some have shared bathroom facilities. A nice hotel on a superb location, cozy and clean.

Washington Hotel Hiroshima is a 15-minute walk from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and 20-minute walk from Hiroshima Castle. Hiroshima Museum of Contemporary Art is a 10-minute drive away. The property offers easy access to multiple shops and restaurants nearby. What went well with the stay at this hotel? Well, pretty much everything, from its location to the staff at reception, to the cleanliness and planning of the room, and last but not the least to the breakfast buffet, which had an infusion of freshly prepared Japanese and Western style food. Every single one of the staff members we encountered at Hotel Washington Hiroshima was exceptionally courteous and helpful, typical of the Japanese standard (still, acknowledgement has to be given!)

The modern rooms at Chisun Hotel Hiroshima are equipped with air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, light wooden furniture, refrigerators, electric kettles, and bathtubs. Clean, good value, convenient location, lots free amenities, great hotel! Helped us a lot when they kept our suitcases before and after check in/out!

Overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, Grand Prince Hotel is located a 15-minute drive from central Hiroshima. The hotel offers 5 dining options, a outdoor pool (only summer) and hot spring baths. The hotel is featured in Michelin Green Guide Japan 2013. A free shuttle is available from Hiroshima Station, a 30-minute ride away. The view, the view, the view. Plus, the hotel was very elegant. Extra bonus is the hydrofoil boat that docks outside the hotel that takes you to and from Itsukushima Island. The hotel was the site of the G7 conference in 2023, with lots of photos documenting the summit. The hotel is also used for weddings, and we got to watch the end of a lovely wedding, with the new bride and groom walking up a three-story circular stairway, while the wedding guests applauded the couple from the balconies overlooking the three-story central grand lobby. Just lovely.

Hotel Granvia Hiroshima is directly connected to the JR Hiroshima Shinkansen (Bullet Train) Station. This Michelin 3-star rated hotel offers modern accommodation with 6 restaurants, massage services and rooms with free Wi-Fi. Location to the train station was amazing!

Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. It is a 1-minute walk to Miyajima Aquarium and a 15-minute to Itsukushima Shrine. I love this place, was a different night in Japan, sleeping in a traditional room. The room and the place was very quiet, comfortable and clean. The personal service was very kind with us. We enjoyed so much the traditional Japanese breakfast. I totally recommended stay at least one night here.
