The couple hosting is lovely and friendly, will make you feel at home. I stayed in a single Japanese room and was perfect, spacious and comfortable. There are shared bathrooms and shower divided for males and females and although the pension was almost full I never had to wait more than a few minutes to use them. There are also 4 shared sinks, more than enough for everyone. The location perhaps it's the only element to check before depending on you plans:the zone is great as it's less than 10mins walking from the main attractions of the city such as red brick building, old town hall or even the mount Hakodate ropeway, but is not too near the station (note I'm referring to the JR station, the shin-Hakodate is far northern and not in the city). There are tram or bus available but worth noting that when I left, the ghost gave me a ride to the station, saving me almost half an hour.

Open from March 2015, JR Inn Asahikawa offers simple accommodation directly connected to JR Asahikawa Station. A public bath and laundry facilities are available on site. We love everything! Located at the station and on top of a shopping mall, very convenient. Everything was so clean and tidy. We love the toiletries. The lounge was really nice, too, since we had to wait for our train after checking out. There’s coin laundry which helped us a lot since we were traveling for a while. The staffs are able to speak multiples languages so that is a plus.

Right in front of the scenic Otaru Canal, Hotel Sonia Otaru offers spacious rooms and free WiFi access at the public areas. The so-called Sushi Street is just a 3-minute walk away. very appreciate to the kind staffs, they were able to help me to change my room which has a little problem to the another one. I also encountered a slight problem which I was unable to call the third party parking company nearby the Lawson. The staff used his phone directly and make calls to the parking company. Really very appreciate!

Excellent location—under ground access from Sapporo Station. Amazing breakfast! Very nice staff. Will definitely stay here next time I come back to Sapporo.
