The breakfast and dinner were amazing. We also got to choose our own yukata to borrow. The staff assisted us the best way they could and made us feel extra welcome. We got to experience a private onsen and visit the different public onsens which were amazing. We wanted to relax and got exactly what we needed.

Overlooking the beautiful Kobe Harbour, Oriental Hotel offers luxurious accommodation in the heart of the historic Kyu-Kyoryuchi area. A very historical hotel but super well maintained . no sign of aging at all and super good value for money!

Onishiya Suisyouen offers beautiful hot-spring baths, a sauna and Japanese garden beside the Maruyama River. Wonderful ryokan with fantastic meals, super helpful staff, nice own onsen and great traditional rooms. Can only recommend!

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. The service is very good 👍 appreciate the receptionist help to book ENT clinic for one of our friends, especially we are not fluent in Japanese.

Villa Fontaine Kobe Sannomiya offers modern rooms with free wired internet access. Free Wi-Fi is available at the 5th floor lobby. This was the best hotel we ever stayed at in terms of price and quality. It is located in the center of Kobe, within walking distance of most attractions. The rooms are clean, they offered robes, toothbrushes, toothpaste. The breakfast was very delicious with unexpected options like curry, pancakes, fried chicken, great coffee and tea options. A separate word should be said about the happy hour at 5 oclock. They offered wine, whiskey, liquors for free! A great way to relax in the evening. Everyone should stay here! They also were able to check us in early, but your mileage may vary. There are many good restaurants close by. Also, the staff are all super friendly, helpful and nice.

Hotel Okura Kobe is located on the waterfront, 500 metres from the Motomachi shopping area. Featuring Western-style rooms with free WiFi access, the hotel offers 6 dining options. - I stayed in the hotel with 2 babies (< 1 year) for 4 weeks when my family first arrived in Japan and searching for apartments. - The hotel provides cribs which is a big plus and has self-operated washing/drying machines (2 machines, free to use, each usage 2.5 hour limit, check with bell captain to obtain the key). The paid laundry service is also excellent. - It also has spacious public spaces so we can still stroll with the baby when it is rainy. - Staff are friendly and I asked them for help to make reservations in Japanese when one of the babies had a fever. - We had to make a lot of Amazon orders of baby waters, diapers, etc. and it was a very smooth experience to receive those packages from the bell captain. For heavy items, hotel staff will bring them to the room. - The Chinese restaurant (3rd floor) and the bakery at the lobby-level cafe are nice. - The hotel has 2 elevators at the east/west far end of the lobby level for pedestrian access in addition to the free shuttle service. - Closest train station: JR Motomachi (10~12min walk), Hankyu Hanakuma (12~15min walk)

The hotel is in a superb location, just 10 minute walk from the Himeji JR station, and 10-15 minute walk to Himeji castle. It was very clean, with a nice toilet and a comfortable bed. I recommend this place for travelers doing a trip around Japan, when they are looking for a nice and well located spot for exploring Himeji.
