We slept in futons, wore yukata. During our one-night stay, we were able to book a private bath twice, once in the late afternoon and a second time in the morning, at no additional cost. The setting is magnificent. In an interior courtyard you can see koi carps and calm waterflow. Near the windows of our room, a forest with a waterfall, making a perfect sound ambiance to sleep well. The service was exceptional. The staff was very attentive and asked very specific questions about our special diets and preference so that the dining experience was the best possible. The staff also offers good advice on the surrounding area and travel logistics.

I loved that they encouraged guests to roam around the property in the yukatas provided. My parents are vegan and the hotel was able to accommodate to their dietary requirements very well, the menu consisted a good range and the food tasted great. Although the hotel is located a short walk from Nakagora station, I appreciated the shuttle service when we arrived and departed with our cumbersome luggages.
