Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can enjoy looking out into the traditional garden. Ueno Station is a 15-minute walk away. So unique and pretty. Staff very kind on arrival.

Re-opened in 2012 after thorough renovations, the Tokyo Station Hotel is registered as an Important Cultural Property and boasts gorgeous rooms in a classical European style. It features a French restaurant and stylish bars, and free WiFi is offered throughout. Its entrance is right next to the Marunouchi South Exit of Tokyo Station. We appreciated the helpfulness of the staff at the registration counter, especially when we ran into minor card issues; they were patient and efficient in resolving the matter. The decor, done in warm colors, made us feel comfortable and at home right away. The bathroom was a highlight with its advanced electronic equipment, showcasing the innovative side of Japan that we’ve always heard about — it surely left us questioning bathrooms elsewhere. The location is unbeatable, with the hotel situated right at Tokyo Station, it felt like we had access to not just Tokyo, but all of Japan, especially with our JR Pass allowing us unlimited train rides. Despite the bustling activity with around 4000 trains passing through daily, the hotel was surprisingly silent, ensuring a peaceful stay. The unique Japanese breakfast experience was delightful and a perfect start to our mornings. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and Tokyo Station Hotel is a place we’d love to revisit.

Homely rooms with mountain views, free Wi-Fi and a private bath await guests at Villa Revage, 350 metres from Nikko Botanical Garden. It is completely non-smoking, and free private parking is available on site. Good breakfast with a nice variety, onsite onsens were a treat to enjoy, helpful, kind, and knowledgeable hosts. Family owned so everything felt very personalized. Directly on the bus route; a bit difficult with luggage but still doable.

Hakone Suimeiso is located a 3-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station and a 15-minute walk from Sounji Temple. It offers public hot-spring baths, free parking on site and free Wi-Fi access.

The en suite bathroom comes with toiletries and a bathtub. it's very close to Hakone Yomoto station, shoreside with nice lake&forest view. The service is excellent and the traditional Japanese food is super nice! All of my family loves this fantastic stay in the hotel very much.

Situated in the Asakusa area, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has a history of 70 years. The accommodation boasts a view of the Tokyo Skytree from its Hinoki wood bath.

There is a bath for each gender on site and both the female and male baths offer a view of Senso-ji Temple’s Five-storied Pagoda. That has been an authentic experience! Staying in ryokan was amazing - room with tatami floor and futon was exactly what we needed to compliment our stay in Japan. The owner and staff were great and helpful. The bath on the top floor has very good facilities and unmatched view. We will definitely be back

Shiba Park Hotel is just a 2-minute walk from Onarimon Subway Station and a 4-minute walk from Daimon Subway Station. The spacious rooms include a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi is available at all areas. Public parking space is available on site at an additional charge. The room and bathroom was spacious. The overall feeling of the hotel was very luxurious with a beautiful interior on the ground floor. Staff was very helpful and always available.

Open from December 2015, Richmond Hotel Premier Tokyo Schole is located just a 2-minute walk from Oshiage Subway Station, the closest station from the Tokyo Skytree. It features free WiFi and a restaurant. Employees are so nice and professional, really a good experience.

Featuring free WiFi, Stay Nikko Guesthouse offers accommodation in Nikko. Nikko Station on the Tobu and JR lines can be reached within a 13-minute walk. Free private parking is available on site.

Opened in August 2014 after a thorough renovation, Hotel Ryumeikan Ochanomizu Honten has been offering heartfelt hospitality for more than a century. Its sophisticated guest rooms feature modern facilities and traditional Japanese aesthetics. It is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Shin-Ochanomizu Subway Station. The room was exactly as advertised. It was roomy and luxurious. Staff was also helpful. My husband celebrated his birthday there and they provided a small birthday cake for us.

A lounge is reserved exclusively for suite room guests to enjoy a light meal service and terrace seating. The elegant interior is designed with respect to culture and tradition suitable for being left to future generations. In the middle of Tokyo, feel the breath of each season as you experience a moment of relaxation. It has a very nice atmosphere if you like classic design. A bit too Western but beautiful. The Gardens are spectacular. Make sure you see the Silk Clouds and Tokyo Moon show. I recommend experiencing it both in the evening and during the day. Nice spa, although onsen has only one pool. Very clean.
