We managed to book there only one night, and other nights in a place closer to the historical part. We wish we could stay at this ryokan longer. Opening in March 2014, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers accommodations with a modern yet traditional décor. Perfect place to stay at Kyoto, staff was very helpful and kind. Room was comfy and clean. Location was good, a couple minutes walking distance from the metro station, bus station, main street, bars & restaurants.

A great youth hostel, quiet and comfortable + a 5-min walk from the train station! We had a four-bed dorm: the room was spacious and the 4 beds comfortable and well separated. Everything was very clean and there is English-speaking staff. I would definitely come back!

Incredible experience - we loved every moment of our time here. It was our first ryokan & onsen experience, and everything exceeded expectations. The hosts were attentive & helpful, the Japanese tatami room was spacious and comfortable, and it is in the premium location in the town centre. We chose to include dinner & breakfast, and both were phenomenal. Yukata and kimono were provided, and they took great photos for us. The private onsens inside the ryokan were lovely, and a great introduction before we went to the public onsens in town. Highly recommend. Thank you!!!!

We had the family room with a private bathroom which was clean and a good size for our family. The dinner was perfection and one of the best meals we had in Japan. We wish we had booked for longer.

Directly accessible within Kansai International Airport, Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport - 3 mins walk to the airport features comfortable rooms with free WiFi. The rooms were extremely clean and had lots of lovely little gifts in the bathroom
