Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Entertainment options include cable channels and a DVD player. Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. Amazing service in a structure that think about you from the first to the last minute, from the transportation from/to the ferry terminal to the onsen introduction (should be ok for tattooed people too). Our room with Torii view was stunning, in japanese traditional style but with all necessary technologies and big tv. The dinner (all oysters) was good quality, but don't worry if you don't like them, they re gonna contact you and ask if you want to change with another menu. Perfectly clean, the position is a bit "up" the village but 2 minutes from the area to be visited, and no problem for arrival and departure, as mentioned. For the onsen they give you lovely yukata and all other accessories. The price is correct for this service.

The location was perfect, just a shot walk to the floating tori.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room was large, the futons comfortable and the Onsen were a delight after a walk through town!
Miyajima
Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. It is a 1-minute walk to Miyajima Aquarium and a 15-minute to Itsukushima Shrine. We had an amazing stay here. The location was quiet and well located. Although the hotel is a bit older, it’s extremely well-maintained and full of charm. Our room was beautiful, and the futon beds were much more comfortable than expected. We also loved the comfy yukatas provided. The public bath/onsen was small, but we had it all to ourselves when we went, which made for a peaceful experience. The included dinner and breakfast were fantastic! We requested a vegetarian meal for one of us before arriving, and it was no problem at all - the vegetarian menu was just as varied and delicious as the standard one. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. After check-out, we were able to leave our luggage at the reception for a few hours. When we picked it up, they even offered us a free taxi ride to the ferry terminal.

Lovely comfortable, very stylish inn
View out the window to Miyajima was gorgeous. Loved the room with both beds and a futon tatami area. Breakfast was great. Heaps of options, fresh and yummy! Onsen was lovely! Shuttle bus from the station was great and timetabling of it was great for us to get in and out of town.
Charmingly designed with tradition, big hotel. Had good sea view. Enjoyed the dinner and cruise. Onsen was quite empty at dinner time so peace and quiet
The staff were so friendly and lovely. It was a truly incredible stay. The private Onsen made my little families trip. The stand alone house was gorgeous.
The view was exceptional and the dinner in the room was very delicious. The room is spacious and is beautifully designed. It is located right at the beach which was great to explore and the shuttle to the hotel from the station was punctual and fast. The breakfast was great too.
The hotel itself gives is beautifully designed and gives off a traditional ryokan vibe. The location is perfect and is a great option for those who plan to stay a night. They also provide yukatas and sandals for use around the island. The onsen bath was also very pleasant and I was lucky enough to receive a free room upgrade. Would definitely visit again.
Absolutely insane location overlooking the gorgeous sea and Miyajima island. The room was probably the largest I've seen in Japan and was very comfortable. It was super affordable and even came with a delicious free breakfast. Could not recommend the stay here enough!
The hotel is gorgeous and the staff (particularly a woman from Taiwan whose name I unfortunately cannot spell) were SO lovely and helpful. The traditional Japanese room with views onto the garden/mountains was stunning, huge, and impeccably clean. The Japanese breakfasts & dinners, including their oysters, were fantastic.
