Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Entertainment options include cable channels and a DVD player. Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. Everything! The staff service was incredible and the food delicious. The footbath they have in a little café at the entrance is all you need after a long Day walking.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access.

The stylish rooms at ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA feature tatami-mat flooring and private bathrooms. Amenities include a flat-screen TV and DVD player. The Ryokan was situated very centrally in Myajima, and is of a very high standard. The shared Onsen on the roof is facing the bay with views of the famous Tori gate. The room we had was incredibly comfortable, with large comfort beds and pillows.

Renewed in 2013, Sakuraya offers affordable Japanese-style rooms with mountain or sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 3-minute walk away.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with green tea bags. All rooms have a private toilet, and some have shared bathroom facilities. Fantastic place to stay, great location, such a lovely island to be on in the evening with not many people around. The staff were exceptionally lovely, very, very helpful. The futon beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed.

Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. It is a 1-minute walk to Miyajima Aquarium and a 15-minute to Itsukushima Shrine. The classic Ryokan vibe was super cool. The traditional meals were excellent and the service was great. The location was perfect, peaceful even during the day. Amazingly quiet and beautiful in the evening. There's a shuttle to/from the ferry terminal but it's just a 20 minute easy beautiful walk if necessary.
