Offering public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, Yufuin Onsen Hinoharu Ryokan features Japanese-style accommodations with a flat-screen satellite TV and Yukata robes. Was an absolutely amazing stay. W The highlight of our trip. The location was great and the private onsen was absolutely amazing.

由布の里 旅荘 牧場の家 Ryoso Makibanoie offers spacious Japanese-style cottages with Mount Yufu views. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas and in all guest rooms. The bedroom is spatious, comfortable, beautiful and cozy (warm)! Also, the open air bath is GREAT, perfect temperatures and a view for the mountain Yufu. The location is also very good, 10min walk from the station, there are markets and cafes/restaurants close by. And finally, the staff is very very friendly

Right on Beppu Bay, Umino Hotel Hajime offers public hot spring baths and free WiFi. Rooms feature a traditional Japanese decor and a private bathroom with hot spring water. The room was impressive. It was massive, with multiple rooms and ambience. It can easily fit a family of 5 people. The tv was nice as we could use Netflix. The water pressure was a bit low but good enough to have a comfortable bath. We rented one of the private onsen and it was extraordinary, beautiful, private and staff was very nice as we could bring our own food and beverage to enjoy the experience.

Located in the central area of Oita City, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Oita offers modern accommodations with free Wi-Fi at the entire property. Great selection of breakfast, comparing to other Daiwa hotels. Room is clean. Direct access to Family mart on the main entrance.

Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu boasts a spacious public bathing area including natural hot spring baths and open-air baths. It is just a 10-minute walk from JR Beppu Station. great location if your using bus transportion from the airport. when i arrived by bus, i was surprised that the hotel was right in front of me! it was also nice not having the rush to my bus when i left. also it's across the street from a shopping mall, conbini, and chain restaurants. the breakfast was pretty good as well. the staff were very nice. the train station is only a 15 min slow paced walk. but you are close to popular onsen. i would stay here again!
