Situated in the Asakusa area, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has a history of 70 years. The accommodation boasts a view of the Tokyo Skytree from its Hinoki wood bath.

There is a bath for each gender on site and both the female and male baths offer a view of Senso-ji Temple’s Five-storied Pagoda. I know I have to stay in ryokan rather than hotel. and this place, is perfect. the location is literally in the asakusa shopping district around the temple so that's really convenient. altough sometimes for me I kind of overstimulated by the crowd but this ryokan in the quieter side. The staff is very helpful, especially when I need to send my luggage to the airport, they partnered with JAL services for same day luggage service. everything went well. The room is clean, it's kinda small but enough. the public bath is to die for. 2 nights in a row I got Tokyo Skytree view which is beautiful. they also have cute tiny garden in the rooftop with the same view. totally breathtaking, worth the money, definitely will come here again.

A lounge is reserved exclusively for suite room guests to enjoy a light meal service and terrace seating. The elegant interior is designed with respect to culture and tradition suitable for being left to future generations. In the middle of Tokyo, feel the breath of each season as you experience a moment of relaxation. This was probably the best hotel I have been to. Electronic curtains with a panoramic view, great staff and cleaning, superb breakfast with awesome view as well, and special thanks to Kumiko Ikehara at the guest concierge who helped me to book dining at Jiro. Loved the stay and the team
