Centrally located in Phnom Penh, Plantation Urban Resort & Spa is situated directly behind the Royal Palace. This is truly a very beautiful boutique hotel. This property used to be the French administration unit so it reserved the French colonial architecture and building. I read somewhere saying their building was restored in 2011, with the help of the Heritage Mission of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and the support of the French Embassy. The lobby has a small fish pond, trees, some exhibitions (paintings and stuff) along the walkway, a well-functioned spa, a very nice outdoor swimming pool and great restaurants (I have a fine dining dinner at a French restaurant upstairs (La Pergola - you get discount as a hotel guest) and breakfast at another one near the pool). The food here is so good, you do not need to go out to have proper eating. This place is like a tranquil getaway, a green oasis to relax after a busy day. I highly recommend it. It sometimes hosts some cocktail functions for business chambers. This place also has a working/business lounge for busy people working, or reading a book. Their General Manager is also very friendly and approachable. I like this place very much. I will come back if I visit Phnom Penh again in the next few months.

Featuring an indoor swimming pool, Palace Gate Hotel & Apartments offers accommodation within a 700-metre walk from Independence Monument, Wat Botum Park and the Royal Palace. The staff at the hotel were amazing (special mention to the girls at the restaurant, and the spa, the massage was wonderful), and the room was big, with comfy beds. Breakfast was very tasty, and with a handful of options. Location was very nice, close to Royal Palace, and most of the touristic spots. The view from our terrace was breathtaking. Very recommended hotel to stay in Phnom Penh.

Okay Boutique Hotel – A Serene Stay in the Heart of Phnom Penh Quietly nestled in the center of Phnom Penh, Okay Boutique Hotel blends traditional Khmer-style décor with modern comforts. When entering this hotel you are hit with the wow factor. Bizarrely you have to go down a side street to get to the entrance and you think. " Where am I going!" This looks iffy. But the interior is gorgeous. Staff were very helpful. We also used the bar and restaurant by the rooftop pool a couple of times and I couldn't fault it.

I am bike touring through SE Asia from US winter and stayed 4 nights Jan 3 to 7th in the Ohana Palace hotel. Loved the hotel. The reception staff, housekeeping and breakfast staff were outstanding. Room was big, TV had US channels, bed was very comfortable and the WiFi was fast in the room. The breakfast buffet was fantastic...looking to return again for 4 nights in next week as I make my way back to Thailand from Vietnam and Cambodia on the bike. And I really did appreciate the hotel letting me store the bike right inside the hotel across from the reception area as it is a very expensive bicycle. Thank you!
