A short 1-minute walk from Bentota Beach, Club Villa provides an outdoor pool and massage treatments. Its air-conditioned rooms are decorated with handwoven batiks and paintings. It really felt like going back in time; beautifully decorated by Geoffrey Bawa giving the typical tropical movement vibe. Very tranquil place, the garden is stunning, breakfast delicious and you have the luxury of the swimming pool and just a 5 minute walk away also the quiet beach. The train running through the garden only every once in a while makes it extra special. The noise never bothered me while I am a light sleeper (as of midnight until +/- 05:00 the train doesn't pas by anymore anyway). There are many guests who have been coming back for years. That already says enough. The staff is incredibly friendly. Absolutely loved it here, thank you for this special experience and truly hope to come back in the future!

The Villa Bentota by KK Collection is a beach side boutique hotel featuring individually designed rooms and suites. Surrounded by tropical gardens, it offers 2 outdoor pools and free WiFi in the... I loved the aspect and the feel of the property. With the lush lawn, trees, white buildings and train running through the bottom of the property it felt like colonial days.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool, Villa Velmarie is located just 2.4 km from the Bentota River Airport. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the property. My 8 day stay at Villa Velmarie was amazing and truly special! As woman traveling on my own, I felt very safe all the time. If you want to have a authentic Avuyeda experience and get to know Sri Lankan hospitality, this is definitely the place to go! The team of Villa Velmarie is just amazing, very friendly, helpful and always smiling. There are not many words needed to understand that the whole team cares with so much passion about all guests. There are only six room, so that you feel like becoming a member of Velmarie family. During my stay they were only three other guests, so that the atmosphere was just perfect and so nice! All treatments by my therapist Chaturani were excellent! The flower bath and the Shirodhare were my favorite treatments. The massages and oil treaments are wonderful as well. The cook prepares fresh and very delicious Sri Lankan foods, which she serves with a big smile. The manager tries to fulfill all wishes and helps to organise taxi rides and trips. The garden and pool area is very clear and beautiful, thanks to the great gardener who works all day. The cleaning lady provides fresh towels whenever you want and keeps everything nice and clean! The yoga lession is a perfect start of your day. Highly recommend to go there!

From the very first moment, our stay at Nisala Arana was a total success – and became the absolute highlight of our Sri Lanka journey. This hotel was far more than just a place to stay; it felt like a true home full of soul, nestled within a lush, peaceful garden paradise. The expansive garden is a tranquil oasis right in the heart of vibrant, rural Bentota. We loved exploring the quiet backstreets by bike (freely available), observing local life and reaching the serene, uncrowded beach in just minutes – perfect for swimming and surfing. A fantastic Ayurveda centre was also nearby. The accommodation is stylish, immaculately kept, and yet wonderfully welcoming – it immediately gave us a sense of belonging. Special thanks go to General Manager Conrad, who hosted us with incredible warmth, attentiveness, and insight. He was not only a perfect host, but also a cultural guide and a true friend – making everything possible, from a fresh seafood BBQ to tracking down a lost phone. Even the owner went above and beyond – including sourcing a guitar for us! We actually stayed at Nisala Arana twice – once at the beginning of our trip, and again at the end. That’s how much we loved it. The second time we brought friends and enjoyed an almost private guesthouse experience, complete with a talented chef who prepared amazing curries and menus tailored to our tastes. In short: a place with true heart, deep respect for its guests, and a very personal level of service. Perfect for families, couples, and anyone seeking a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere – not about Instagram hype, but about real soul.

Surrounded by greenery, Shangri-lanka Villa is just a 10-minute walk from Bentota Beach. It features an outdoor swimming pool, an Ayurveduc massage centre and rooms with free WiFi access. It is a real hideway dream. You should try bananasplit!

Steps from Bentota’s beach, Sandali Walauwa offers rooms with wooden furnishings and a private balcony with views of the pool. Free internet access is available at the business centre. It was my favourite hotel i stayed in Sri Lanka. It's super beautiful and i think its cheap. They have pool with a very beautiful garden. The rooms are huge. We had a big balcony aswell. And they had for us a Elephant with a towel and flowers in the bed. Nice touch The food really good and the staff super amazing everyone super nice. It's like 3 minutes walking to the beach and just in front have the train railway. You can see it like 3 times per day, which its really cool. They offer activities like go to a lake to see the mangrove in a boat or make a massage in the ayurveda place that they have. The best part they have 3 baby cats and they care them a lot. It's the first pet friendly hotel i stayed on Sri Lanka. Amazing experience. The beach beautiful and not crowded and very close its wave restaurant, super good place for eat.

Great location, lovely staff, delicious breakfast, our room was modern (after renovation), very beatiful hotel and it's territory, we will definitely come back.

Set in beautiful landscaped grounds, Haus Berlin offers relaxing stays in spacious rooms. Featuring an outdoor pool, it offers bike rental and free WiFi in public areas for free. We booked the big deluxe room and the name is really acurate. The room is amazing, it is decorated with a lot of good taste and so comfortable, we loved it! The garden and pool are great also and its very quiet there, which is nice too. To get to beach you need a tuk tuk or scooter but thats worth it i think! Food was not so cheap compared to many other places we went to but good and tasty and homemade so in the end no complaint on that end. I would definately recommend the place after all!
