The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... Perfect stay! The Grand Apartment Suite was exceptionally comfortable and the staff were very patient and quick to accomodate to our requests. The cocktails were amazing and we loved having drinks on the hotel verandah in the evening, very picturesque. Breakfast items were yummy and the pool was very inviting.

This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

Located in Hikkaduwa, Camellia Dwelling offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi access throughout the property. Convenient location near the road. Close to a clean and comfortable beach for swimming, a bus station, a railway station, shops, markets, and cafes. Everything you need is within walking distance from the house. The house itself and the surrounding area are very tidy , beautiful and clean. The owner, his family, and the assistant are friendly and pleasant people. There are tables and chairs on the premises, perfect for relaxing. There's also a shared living room where we had interesting conversations with the owner. Additionally, we were taught how to cook jackfruit and banana flower. After cooking, we enjoyed a communal dinner. The breakfasts are fresh and delicious. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with everything necessary provided. It’s convenient for both short stays and longer-term visits. Thank you for the hospitality. We highly recommend this place for staying in Hikkaduwa!

That is not even to the mention the incredible hospitality of the host and her team, and the delicious brunch in the morning! We felt very spoiled!

Beautiful accommodation in a great location within the fort. I was only there 1 night, but I loved my room - it had nice ambience, a very comfortable bed, great shower & wonderful hosts. Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's. perfect location. very comfortable bed and peaceful sleep. decorated beautifully. food and drinks were amazing and staff were very helpful. thank you…will definitely be back!

Sri Lankan architectural master piece Dunes Unawatuna hotel is an eco friendly boutique hotel near the beautiful Unawatuna beach(100 meters/ 5min walk away). Really enjoyed our stay here. Fantastic facilities, incredibly helpful staff. The breakfast is incredible!

Roman Beach offers spacious air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, high ceilings and views of the sea. Located on Hikkaduwa Beach, it presents an outdoor pool and a private beachfront. We had a wonderful stay at Roman Beach Hotel. The service was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was another highlight — delicious, with large portions that really exceeded expectations. The hotel wasn’t crowded, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It does show a bit of age, but nothing that affects comfort. We also had a jacuzzi in the room, which was a nice touch. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly — we were able to stream Netflix and YouTube without any lag. There was no TV in the room, possibly removed for repairs. Also, since we were on the top floor, the water pressure was a bit low. The location is right on the beachfront, but the beach itself is almost non-existent as the sea comes very close to the property. However, Narigama Beach is just a short 30-meter walk away and is much better for a beach experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Exceptional value for money. Would definitely recommend!

Suite Lanka sits on the sands of Hikkaduwa Beach, one of the widest beaches on Sri Lanka’s west coast. Offering spacious accommodation, it has an outdoor pool and restaurant. This is a very nice and guit small hotell with an amazing location on the best and most beautiful part of the hikkaduwa beach. Walking distance to turtle beach. Great big family room and great and friendly staff. The breakfast/lunch/dinner was also great. We traveled with 2 children 9 and 11 years old.
