The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... Probably one of the best hotels I stayed! Excellent rooms, incredible staff, very service orientated, great restaurant, beautiful old building in an historical setting.

Featuring free WiFi and an outdoor swimming pool, The Fort Printers offers accommodation in Galle. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. You will find a kettle in the room. It is the perfect location in the old town of Galle. I was surprised by the spacious room, its comfort, and all the amenities. the staff is very hospitable as everywhere in Sri Lanka. The building itself is fascinating, and you can feel it by the ambience and wooden stairs and floors, very well renovated and looks quite esthetic. If stay in Galle again I'd stop over at the Fort Printers - and google the history of the building and the Fort :)

Located in Hikkaduwa, Camellia Dwelling offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi access throughout the property. The location was wonderful, beautiful villa and garden, close by the city, train and bus station. The breakfast was wonderful and enough.

I recently stayed at this charming homestay located within the historic Galle Fort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the fort, with easy access to its cobblestone streets, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants. However, the real highlight of this place is its stunning rooftop. The rooftop offers one of the breathtaking sunset views I’ve ever seen, specially you can enjoy lot of people hanging around on holidays with their family & friends , watch locals playing cricket , see people sitting enjoying the sun set on the wall & some even flying kites on the ramparts along with the sunset which is RARE. Every evening, I found myself eagerly heading up to watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. The panoramic view of the fort, the ocean, and the surrounding area made it feel like a private paradise. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of tea or a good book after a day of exploring. My room was beautiful & perfect with the Balcony & it had everything you want to make your stay comfortable. Comfy bed & water pressure was great. It had 2 large French windows which gives a bright light to the room. The homestay itself is cozy and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of fantastic cafes and eateries within walking distance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to stay in Galle Fort, this homestay is an excellent choice. The rooftop alone is worth the stay, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves a good sunset view. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's. A beautiful hotel in an old building. Interesting details. Amazing staff and location. There were always about 5 people in the hotel, but it was always quiet and comfortable. I definitely recommend

Sri Lankan architectural master piece Dunes Unawatuna hotel is an eco friendly boutique hotel near the beautiful Unawatuna beach(100 meters/ 5min walk away). The room was beautiful, beautiful design and very complete. We enjoyed being in the room, which did not happen that often in Sri Lanka. A 10! Breakfast not included which is smart, like this you can eat whatever you feel like. We had a smoothiebowl and avocado toast, which we really enjoyed.

Roman Beach offers spacious air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, high ceilings and views of the sea. Located on Hikkaduwa Beach, it presents an outdoor pool and a private beachfront. We had a wonderful stay at Roman Beach Hotel. The service was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was another highlight — delicious, with large portions that really exceeded expectations. The hotel wasn’t crowded, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It does show a bit of age, but nothing that affects comfort. We also had a jacuzzi in the room, which was a nice touch. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly — we were able to stream Netflix and YouTube without any lag. There was no TV in the room, possibly removed for repairs. Also, since we were on the top floor, the water pressure was a bit low. The location is right on the beachfront, but the beach itself is almost non-existent as the sea comes very close to the property. However, Narigama Beach is just a short 30-meter walk away and is much better for a beach experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Exceptional value for money. Would definitely recommend!

Suite Lanka sits on the sands of Hikkaduwa Beach, one of the widest beaches on Sri Lanka’s west coast. Offering spacious accommodation, it has an outdoor pool and restaurant. Our experience at this hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The staff does an incredible job making you feel comfortable, safe and taken care of at all times. The food was consistently great and their beach restaurant provides a beautiful view with every meal. This was for sure a five star hotel experience!
