The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... The location, the design, the atmosphere, the staff, the food and the bar! Oh and the swimming pool:-)

This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

Located in Hikkaduwa, Camellia Dwelling offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi access throughout the property. The location is good. Very close to the beach, shops , bus station and railway station. Very beautiful garden. Room is very spacious . comfortable beds. Good air conditioning and hot water. Really enjoyed my breakfast which prepared by them. Staff is always ready to help.I am really happy about my stay at Camellia

Located at the Galle Fort, Seagreen Guesthouse - Galle Fort provides affordable accommodation. Guests enjoy free WiFi access and comfortable rooms fitted with air conditioning. great location for enjoying the sunset. It was a great spot to do morning exercise. Very close to good restaurants and shopping.

Villa Amma Erna welcomes its guests with an outdoor pool and free internet access. It features contemporary interiors and stylish fan-cooled guestrooms. We had so nice time with wife in this Vila. Stuff very friendly. We became a friends, last evening we went to ABBA concert together. We felt like we at home. Also, we had so delicious breakfast and dinner!!! Thank you and recommend to come here! 5 Stars for sure!

It was my best place in Sri Lanka & I had an excellent stay at Fort De 19, The location inside the fort overlooking the Ramparts , Fort walls & the ocean is brilliant. Balcony room i stayed was beautiful, Charming & modern, specially HIGH CEILING was a ++ point for us. Bathroom & Room was spotlessly clean. Its very calm & silent during the night though its in front of the street. WIFI was excellent & can enjoy a coffee/tea in the balcony which was great. i was Sitting in the roof top area watching children fly their kites before dusk was almost magical. Theekshana was a nice Host, communicates well & always there for any help. I cannot recommend this place more highly.

Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's. Absolutely beautiful Hotel. I would like this to be my home. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is in this area.

Sri Lankan architectural master piece Dunes Unawatuna hotel is an eco friendly boutique hotel near the beautiful Unawatuna beach(100 meters/ 5min walk away). The room, just how beautiful the hotel and gardens were. My friend said it was the best hoper in Sri Lanka.
