Often, the value of actual hospitality is underrated in the hospitality industry, and it's overshadowed by fancy facilities and frills. Not at Gran Hotel, where the staff treats you like their own guest. They are warm and will go out of their way to help you out. Oh, and the hotel itself is a heritage site with exceptional facilities & a location to kill for! Absolute, must visit. If I am ever in Mexico City again, I am staying at Gran for sure.

Hotellet ligger i boheme-kvarteret La Condesa og er omgivet af stilfulde barer, restauranter og unikke butikker. Gaden Paseo de la Reforma ligger 10 minutters gang derfra. We loved this boutique hotel in Condesa. We stayed here for 10 days and found that it was a great base to explore Mexico City from. The staff was friendly and we appreciated the many breakfast options. We also loved the design of the room.

This hotel, with patios and gardens, is situated in Mexico City’s Cuauhtémoc neighbourhood. It is just a 3-minute walk to Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, and less than 2 km to Bosque de Chapultepec Park. I love this place. It is like a little paradise in the big city.

The staff don't change, which is a good sign for the management, and means they recognize that I am a frequent and loyal guest. The concierge team in particular (Juan Pablo, Rafael and Mario) is great. The hotel design is very basic but everything is pleasant, well maintained and functions well. The food in the dining room is good and provides a decent selection at a fair price. The rooms are well appointed and clean, the beds are comfortable and there are nice touches in the room like useful amenities, robes and a small kettle. The shower and toilet always work well. The location is excellent and with the exception of the rooms facing the roof top bar next door, the rooms are quiet. I have been to the best hotels in the world and I'll say that what one gives up in beauty and glamor at this hotel one wins back in consistent quality in spades. My go to hotel in Mexico City.
