I would highly recommend Palapas del Sol. It is about 10-15 mins walk to the main town, past other hotels and along the beach. The walk is very safe to do, in fact the whole island is very safe. I preferred being a little outside of the main town as the town is quite noisey with music and taxi carts. I found that all of the really nice hotels were out close to Palapas del Sol. The hotel itself is right on the beach and very clean. The staff are extremely helpful and you can WhatsApp them anything you want throughout your stay. You WhatsApp them every morning with your breakfast order and whether you would like it in the restaurant, at the beach bar, at the beach or at your room and they deliver it there. They were also very helpful with organising transfers to and from the island and tours. I had read some reviews that people have difficulty getting beach beds but I didn’t find this at all, they have lots of beds on the beach and also lots at the front of the hotel which is about 20metet walk from the sea. Highly recommended

Offering direct access to Playa Norte Beach, on the beautiful island of Holbox, Holbox by Xaloc features luxurious rooms and bungalows with terraces. The overall experience is well worth it. I think they fit more into the category of a very good inn than a hotel, but that wasn't a problem. The location is one of the strong points, right on the beachfront and very close to downtown Holbox. The beach in front of the hotel is clean, free of rocks and seaweed, so you can enjoy the sea right in front of the hotel. The room is large and comfortable, although a small investment in some amenities could improve the experience inside. We stayed in the apartment, but there are also bungalows. The hotel has two swimming pools: one for adults only, in front of the beach and with a bar, and one at the back of the property, which is for families. We didn't use the adult pool with the bar, only the children's pool. The only downside is that there are few chairs and loungers. And if you stay in a bungalow near the family pool, you'll hear children playing all day. Breakfast is a huge plus; you can choose from a variety of dishes, from Mexican favorites to more traditional options like eggs and fruit. The portions are generous, so if you're traveling with your family, you can mix and match and everyone can have a little bit of everything. Tahamara, the staff member, was very attentive.

Set on tropical Isla Mujeres island, this boutique hotel offers swimming pools, massage service and direct access to the Caribbean Sea. Some suites have a private balcony with sea views. This secluded guest house is located outside the village of Tulum, only a short cab ride of the beach. The property is surrounded by tropical gardens. Really welcoming and friendly people. A small hotel kept with love and lots of details. Beautiful lush garden, lots of privacy and all you need for the room and the pool. They kindly changed my dates, stored my bag, helped me with travel arrangements and useful tips around Tulum. Rooms are spacious, beds are good, showers hot. Coffee maker in the room and hot/cold water refill available. Really, a great choice!
