The check-in was delayed due to housekeeping, but other than that, everything in the room was well-provided, including the toilet, air-conditioner, and amenities such as toothbrush, towel, and drinking water. I had booked a river-facing room, although it's not exactly a direct river view; the room faces the hotel’s parking lot, with the river visible beyond that (attached the pic from my room). The breakfast was also enjoyable, with a satisfying selection of nasi lemak, char koew teow, bread, and porridge. Overall, no complaints, it was a good stay. The staff was also friendly.

AC Hotel by Marriott Kuantan is only a 10-minute drive from the Royal Pahang Golf Club and the Teluk Cempedak Beach. It has an outdoor pool and private parking. Everything the minute we walked in the hotel such a lovely welcome. Fast checkin and all explained. We had a small problem solved so well by Jeff. Great breakfast with again v highly trained staff.

A simple but thoughtful gesture really stood out — we had brought strawberries from a nearby farm, and they kindly washed and beautifully presented them for us without us even asking. That’s the kind of personalized service that makes a stay truly memorable. The common areas of the resort are equally impressive — from a charming grand hall with a fireplace to large koi ponds filled with majestic fish. It all adds to the resort’s serene and sophisticated atmosphere. Breakfast was served à la carte and every bite was divine. You could tell great care went into the flavors and presentation — it felt more like a fine-dining experience than a typical hotel breakfast. If there’s one thing I regret, it’s that we couldn’t stay longer. I genuinely wish I had at least one more night to soak it all in, but we had a flight to catch. Still, this brief escape will stay with us for a long time. Highly, highly recommended — whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat into the hills, Cameron Highlands Resort delivers an experience that is both nostalgic and luxurious.

What a house, what a garden, what an enclosure on the edge of the village! Prime, calm location. Cosy rooms with balcony, if you booked the smaller room, you can use one of the communal ones facing downhill. There is complimentary toast, tea, coffee, jam, crackers and water in the communal pantry downstairs. Free fridge for your little somethings. You can rent a motorbike without much ado, you even get free transfer to the bus terminal (which is in walking distance). Staff is very friendly and caring.
