The courteous reception staff when checking in, room facilities were good, a wonderful Riverside walkway just behind the hotel and good local food available readily near the hotel. And if one comes in during the weekend, there is a night bazaar opposite the hotel with many stalls.

AC Hotel by Marriott Kuantan is only a 10-minute drive from the Royal Pahang Golf Club and the Teluk Cempedak Beach. It has an outdoor pool and private parking. Everything the minute we walked in the hotel such a lovely welcome. Fast checkin and all explained. We had a small problem solved so well by Jeff. Great breakfast with again v highly trained staff.

Nestled on Balok Beach, Swiss-Garden Beach Resort, Kuantan boasts 6 dining options, tennis courts and a free-form outdoor pool. The beach is nearby, food is great, room is clean and comfy, and all staff are friendly and accomodating. Kiddie pool is knee-deep which is great for small kids. Adult pool is 1.5m deep which is quite deep for average asian adults and teens. Would be better if can lower the water level a bit. Breakfast is ok but can further improve, perhaps change the spread on alternate days. There was party and band until past midnight to welcome the new year. The fireshow and fireworks are awesome.

Nice, comfortable guesthouse. In a quiet corner of the town, and surrounded by a nice garden, but very close to several good restaurants. If you want you can use the downstairs kitchen and fridge to bring and prepare your own breakfast. Also a good central location to stay if you want to discover the Cameron Highlands.
