Their warmth felt sincere and constant throughout my three-day stay, which made me and my friend feel truly welcomed and cared for. -The welcome drink — a light brown juice with a lovely balance of sweet, sour, and a hint of spice — surprised me. I loved it, and was even more delighted when they told me it was nutmeg, a traditional local drink. -The hotel is right in the heart of George Town — about a 10-minute walk to the sea, the Peranakan Mansion, and blocks full of unique little shops. -Our room had the charm of the old world with the comfort of modern amenities. It really felt like “sleeping with the past.” -Breakfast wasn’t extensive, but every dish was delicious.
