Situated in Kuching, The Village House is just a 3-minute walk from Santubong Beach and a 7-minute drive from Santubong Mountain and the Sarawak Cultural Village. The dormitory room bed was so comfortable. They change the towel and the sheet every day. The breakfast menu choices are limited, but they are tasteful. The staff are informative and warm. The pool and the whole vibe are felt like home and good short escape from city. Nearby Sarawak Cultural Village and Wetland tour.

Set across the road from The Spring Shopping Mall, Citadines Uplands Kuching offers contemporary accommodation in Kuching. It boasts an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. We had a studio on the 10th floor which had great views across the city. Our apartment was stylish, quiet, pristine and spacious with an open plan lounge/kitchen area, a well equipped bathroom (super shower) and airy bedroom with excellent air con.The reception staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Complimentary coffee was served in the lobby area…….Darrel and Alexander were great hosts! The hotel is opposite “The Spring” shopping mall and close to a variety of restaurants and cafes. We were there during Oktoberfest so the area outside “Spring” was buzzing and welcoming in the evenings, with live music and beer on tap! The cost of a “Grab” taxi (like an Uber) was around R8 (around £1.50 at time of writing) to the waterfront. There is a swimming pool and gym but we didn’t use them although the pool looked very inviting. We had originally planned to stay for 2 nights but extended it to 5 as the place worked for us.

DeHome Boutique Hotel offers modern air-conditioned rooms in Kuching, a 15-minute drive from India Street Pedestrian Mall and 10-minute drive from Tun Jugah Shopping Complex. The room was really clean, comfy bed, AC and a hot shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast was delicious! Definitely made the mornings easy. It was nice and quiet while still being close to downtown. If you want to get to the waterfront, you can take a Grab from the hotel for about $2 USD. The laundry service was so efficient! Well priced and they got my clothes back to me the very same day. Really appreciated this while I was traveling in Kuching for 10 days.
