Scenically set by the Oppstrynsvatnet Fjord, the family-owned Hjelle Hotel rests in a lush garden surrounded by mountains. Jostedalsbreen National Park is 5 km away.

Located next to the marina in the scenic town of Flåm, the accommodation includes free WiFi and magnificent views of the Sognefjord.

Flåm Marina's guest rooms have a seating area and a private bathroom with shower. The apartments are equipped with a kitchen providing all utensils needed for a relaxing, self-catering break. The view from our room was breathtaking. We could sit there and chill all day. The town became very quiet after tourists cleared out. The room was cozy and comfortable. Great breakfast too!

Walaker Hotel’s unique rooms create an old-world charm with their antique furniture, high ceilings and decorative curtains. The stylish bathrooms include a bathtub or shower, toilets and free bath products. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. The hotel is situated in a tiny picturesque village from the late 19th century by the Luster fjord, overlooking a fantastic view. It has Norway’s best breakfast with everything you may wish, and fantastic service. For extra luxury, enjoy a wonderful 4-course dinner prepared by some of our best chefs, followed by a drink and coffee in the garden. We stayed in one of the modern rooms, which has plenty of space and a nice porch on the lawn to enjoy the morning sun. This is a must see for everyone who just want to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape. It’s not cheap, but it’s with it.

This refurbished 1800s manor house is in Flåm, 200 metres from the Aurlandsfjord. It provides a restaurant, a large garden and free WiFi access. All rooms have views towards the Aurlandsfjord or the surrounding mountains. Beautiful and historic building. Delicious food (breakfast and dinner), helpful staff, and the location is right next to the Flam Railway. We’re so glad we spent the night here during our Norway in a Nutshell trip. My sister and I had a wonderful time. There’s a beautiful atrium with view of mountains and fjords.

Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri is located in the oldest buildings in the village of Aurland. Situated on the shores of Aurlandsfjord, it offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Guests can also enjoy free WiFi. We stayed in a fisherman's hut, right on the water. It was gorgeous. We even got lucky and were able to see the northern lights over the fjord from our little porch. The restaurant and included breakfast were delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Situated in western Norway’s Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this waterfront hotel offers easy access to ferry boat fjord tours. Some rooms have skylights with views up to Kjelsfossen Waterfall. The location is perfect, just few steps from the Harbour. I loved the room decoration in Viking style with glass roof, at night, after all tourists are gone, you really feel isolated in a viking village surrounded by marvelous fjords. It's an incredible experience!

Housed in a 19th-century building by Stryn Bay, this hotel offers individually decorated rooms with private balconies and free WiFi access. Stryn centre is a short walk away.

All guest rooms at Visnes Hotel Stryn have traditional furnishings. Each room has a seating area and a private bathroom with shower. Our stay at Visnes Hotel Stryn felt like a peaceful journey back in time. The hotel has a cozy and bright atmosphere that reminded me of staying at my grandmother’s house – warm, welcoming, and full of charm. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We arrived very early due to our bus schedule, and the staff kindly let us leave our luggage even before check-in time, which was a big help as it was raining and nothing nearby was open. The staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for those who love nature and authentic Norwegian charm.

At the head of the famous Flåm Railway in Myrdal, this hotel is only accessible by train and sits high above Aurlandsfjord. It is not located very close to Myrdal station, it's located 1,5 km from Myrdal. It's not possible to walk to the hotel wintertime due to the snow conditions. We recommend to take the train one stop down from Myrdal to Vatnahalsen station. Important to check the timetable for the trains. It takes 30 minutes to walk summertime. It's NOT possble to drive by car to Vatnahalsen hotel. Gabriel and Anna are the best. Warm, extremely nice, helpful. Went out of the way to help guests. It felt like a family. God bless.
