Avalon, in a tranquil garden setting, offers self-catering cottages with free Wi-Fi and balconies overlooking the valley and the Puketotora River. 2 nights was not enough. It was quiet and had excellent views. The service was very personal and as a solo traveller I felt well cared for. The breakfast was excellent and hours flexible.
