I love this place! Very cozy rooms, almost everything you need for good nights of rest, the cutest little garden/pool and amazing hospitality from Kitty and her partner. The woodwork in the room is amazing and ever so thoughtful. I really enjoyed the breakfasts prepared fresh by Kitty. It was a very generous spread and great chats always. Thank you for having us and going the trouble to give us instructions and assurance so we can check in smoothly with our car. The price is slightly higher but I find it very worth for the value and warmth you get. What a gem up on Bluff Hill!

Surrounded by restaurants and cafes in Napier city centre, Motel de la Mer offers ocean-facing suites with a fully equipped kitchen. Some rooms have a balcony with ocean and city views. Very nice motel which is located just a few minutes by foot from the historic center. Incredibly friendly and kind. Nice, clean and modern rooms.

First off, Brin and Biddy were outstanding hosts. And the place was spacious and clean. The ocean front location made for a great view while relaxing in their spa. They loaned me a bike for a pleasant bike ride into Napier. Brin made reservations for us at a winery restaurant that was within easy walking distance. The food and wine were excellent. Definitely this stay was a highlight of our New Zealand trip.
