Surrounded by restaurants and cafes in Napier city centre, Motel de la Mer offers ocean-facing suites with a fully equipped kitchen. Some rooms have a balcony with ocean and city views. We splurged and had a penthouse suite. Fantastic! Well worth it. Breakfast was terrific. Beautiful space.

First off, Brin and Biddy were outstanding hosts. And the place was spacious and clean. The ocean front location made for a great view while relaxing in their spa. They loaned me a bike for a pleasant bike ride into Napier. Brin made reservations for us at a winery restaurant that was within easy walking distance. The food and wine were excellent. Definitely this stay was a highlight of our New Zealand trip.

Located on the waterfront with panoramic Pacific Ocean views, the Art Deco Masonic Hotel features free WiFi and historic Art Deco architecture. Guests enjoy 2 bars and 2 restaurants. A lovely art deco hotel and the best possible location in Napier. Downstairs restaurant served really nice food to us latecomers. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast but there’s a lovely breakfast restaurant Ajuna Eatery in the next corner of Tennyson St. A stroll along the beach and breakfast there is a perfect start for a leisurely day. It was lovely to have a door from the hotel room into the inner courtyard, sit on the sofa, sip a glass of wine and just relax.

Overlooking Hawke’s Bay, Beachfront Motel offers self-contained studios and apartments, each with a spa bath and full kitchen. Beautiful location excellent price room was so comfy and great amenities. The room was spacious and perfect for a small family. The beds were very comfortable.
